Il sentiero nascosto - The hidden path

Dalla "passeggiata a Rimaggio" della quale ho parlato nel post precedente, ho tratto una veduta niente affatto insolita in zone come questa nei pressi di Bagno a Ripoli, a meta strada fra la città e la campagna: una stretta via in mezzo agli alberi, costeggiata da olivi e cipressi, che si snoda sinuosa sulla collina.
Le mie amiche ed io ci siamo soffermate brevemente a guardarla, ma senza cedere all'impulso di seguirla: per quanto invitante, si trattava senza dubbio di una strada interna a una proprietà privata, in fondo alla quale avremmo forse trovato un cancello, o un portone chiuso.
Perciò, senza indugiare oltre, da qui abbiamo ripreso il cammino.


From the "walk at Rimaggio" I have been talking about in my previous post, I took a view not at all unusual in an area like this near Bagno a Ripoli, halfway between the city and the country: a narrow road between the trees, flanked by olives and cypresses, winding curvy on the hill.
My friends and I stopped shortly to look at it, but we didn't give in to the impulse of following it: although inviting, it was undoubtedly a road inside a private estate, at whose end we would have maybe found a gate, or a closed door.
So, without further lingering, from here we started walking again.
