Sabato 13 aprile, in una giornata di splendido sole, ho partecipato al Festival Diari di Viaggio organizzato a Ferrara dall'associazione Autori Diari di Viaggio. Un'iniziativa bellissima, che ha visto la partecipazione di una sessantina di carnettisti da tutta Italia e non solo, in un clima di festa e di divertimento, intenti a disegnare per le vie della città.
Questa è la serie di schizzi che ho fatto durante la giornata, tutti a penna e matite acquarellabili, ritraendo alcuni scorci di questa città straordinaria.
A fine giornata, una giuria ha premiato i migliori carnet: questi i risultati.
Ma più che una gara è stata un'emozionante riunione fra urban sketchers, ognuno con storie e personalità diverse, e anche un bell'incontro con una città dalla quale tutti noi ci siamo sentiti accolti con curiosità ed entusiasmo.
On Saturday 13 April, a wonderful sunny day, I took part to the Diari di Viaggio Festival organized in Ferrara by the association Autori Diari di Viaggio.
A beautiful initiative, with the participation of nearly sixty authors of carnet de voyage coming from every part of Italy and even from abroad, in a spirit of feast and entertainment, all intent on sketching through the streets of the city.
This is the series of sketches that I made during the day, all made with pen and water-soluble pencils, portraying several views of this extraordinary city.
At the end f the day, a jury awarded the best carnets: here are the results.
But more than a competition, it has been an exciting meeting between urban sketchers, each with his story and personality, and also a beautiful encounter with a city who welcomed us with curiosity and enthusiasm.
