Dal mio taccuino di schizzi, ancora alcuni disegni realizzati durante il fine settimana trascorso a Treviso a fine settembre. Il primo, fatto durante una pausa a un caffè in piazza dei Signori, il secondo e il terzo fatti in treno sulla via del ritorno a casa.
Non sono una disegnatrice compulsiva, sempre con il taccuino pronto non appena vedo qualcosa degno di essere ritratto: il mio approccio al disegno è più rilassato, e nella scelta dei miei soggetti mi affido a un'ispirazione che raramente è istantanea, ma nasce da ricordi o da suggestioni che si fanno strada dentro di me a poco a poco. E nemmeno ho l'abitudine di fare ritratti ad amici e amiche quando ci incontriamo (anche se sarebbe senza dubbio divertente) poiché ho sempre il timore di apparire troppo invadente o esibizionista o di scontentare in qualche modo il soggetto del mio ritratto! (In questo caso, la mia carissima amica Lara che era insieme a me non ha protestato...).
A Treviso è stato diverso: ho avuto a che fare con la rapidità, la casualità, gli sguardi degli altri in una misura per me prima sconosciuta.
E' stato divertente, e penso che sia stata un'esperienza utile: da allora ho molta meno difficoltà a disegnare in luoghi affollati, dove tutti mi vedono e non manca mai chi guarda e commenta le pagine del mio taccuino.
From my sketchbook, a few more sketches made during the weekend spent in Treviso at the end of September. The first made during a break at a café in piazza dei Signori, the second ad the third made on the train on our way home.
I'm not a compulsive sketcher, always with the sketchbook ready every time I see something worth being portrayed: my approach to sketching is more relaxed, and in the choice of my subjects I rely on an inspiration that is rarely instantaneous, but sprouts from memories or suggestions that push their way inside of me little by little. And neither I have the habit of portraying my friends whenever we meet (even if it would be indubitably funny), because I always fear to appear too intrusive or exhibitionist or to displease the subject of my portrait! (In this case, my dear friend Lara who was with me didn't protest...).
In Treviso it was different: I had to deal with quickness, casualness, the eyes of the other people in a way that I had never knew before.

It was exciting and I think it was also a useful experience: from then I have less difficulties in drawing in crowded places, where everyone sees me and there's always someone who looks and comments the pages of my sketchbook.
